This week the nursery children have been learning about different people who help us. They have listened to information about firefighters, police officers, postmen, vets, doctors and many more. The children have been painting these important people and telling us what important jobs they do. They have been creating vehicles such as police cars or fire engines and they have greatly enjoyed using their imagination and pretended to be police officers, vets, doctors and even bus drivers. They have also been developing their motor skills in the maths and writing area, holding their pencils, using tweezers, cutting skills and threading.

They have not only been developing their gross skills outdoors but also enjoyed their PE sessions, moving around the hall in different ways and playing small team games.

‘Reading is Magic’

To celebrate World Book day in March ’24, we’ll be holding a week of activities around the theme ‘Reading is magic’.  To help us to celebrate in school, we’d welcome any donations of Halloween decorations you may have from this year.  There will also be a dressing up day, so if you have witch/wizard/Harry Potter costumes, please keep them to use during this week.  If you have any decorations we could use, please send them into school after half term, from Tuesday 7th November.  More information about our reading week will be shared in the new year.  Thank you for your continued support.

If your child has been inspired by someone, enjoyed taking part in an event , achieved something or made a creation, then please take a photo or bring the creation into add to our ‘Learning at Home’ board to share with the rest of the nursery.

This week we are having a Halloween week, so maybe your child would like to bring something into school this week to add to the wall linking with Halloween.
