Welcome back, ready for a new Autumn term. This week the nursery have stepped into the Traditional Tale – Goldilocks and The Three Bears. The home area has changed into ‘The Bear’s Cottage’ and the children have been able to role play ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They have created bear masks and painted a bear face. They have been singing the Goldilock’s song and followed actions. For maths, they have been ordering pictures of bears, bowls, chairs and beds in sizes, using vocabulary biggest, medium size / smallest / tiniest. The children have also had the opportunity to try some porridge and added toppings like syrup or jam. The morning children have enjoyed working with Mrs Short, continuing on their throwing skills in PE. The afternoon children have been mighty warriors, developing skills in yoga.
