Aut 1 Wk 4 – 26.9.25

Another week done! This one has gone really quickly – which is a very good sign 🙂

Maths – we have started a new block of work all about addition and subtraction. We have been using formal written methods, solving real life word problems and using rounding to estimate answers. We have shown great understanding of how to calculate accurately, ensuring we exchange and regroup and extra digits into our final answer. If you’d like to know more, visit HERE.

Our English work has focussed on verbs, this week. We have begun to learn about when and why we use certain past tense verbs, how they are used in verb phrases and what modal verbs do. We have a lot to think about and lots of important vocabulary to learn too. You can find out a little more HERE.

We have also done some wonderful art work this week, all about our local area. I’m sure you’ll be able to spot the famous Middlesbrough locations from the picture.

Pupil of the Week

Well done to Oli S in 2HB, wonderful effort in all of his work in all of his lessons.

Well done to Helen M in 2DJ for superb effort in reading at school and at home!
