We have had a lovely week in Reception this week! Take a look at what we have been up to…

On Wednesday, it was National Fitness Day! The children had an active day, taking part in their PE lesson with Mrs Short, shaking out our sillies in the classroom and playing on the bikes and climbing frame in the outdoor area. A big well done to this week’s PE superstars – Neveah and Hudson.

On Thursday, we spoke about Fairtrade products and found out what this means. The children were brilliant identifying the Fairtrade logo on Mrs Huggins shopping.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who sent in photographs of their home to enhance our construction area. We will add these to our construction area next week when we focus on the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’.

Reminders

On Monday we start our Come and Read sessions. The doors open at 8:40 am and we would like to invite parents to come along and share a story with their children up until the school day begins at 9am. We hope you can make it!

On Thursday, we will be holding our Next Steps in Learning meeting at 9am. This will give a little more information around the things we do in school and how you can support your child at home with their learning journey.

Our PE day is a Wednesday. Children need to come into school in their PE kit- black shorts or jogging bottoms, a white t-shirt and black trainers.

We ask the children to bring a water bottle from home to use in school. Please ensure this has water only inside.
