Speaking and Listening Skill
Each week we are going to add an extra activity that can be done at home, supporting your child’s speaking and listening skills – developing their oracy (view the Parent support link talking about the importance of Oracy).
Simon Says
Play the game “Simon Says” with your child.
- Say e.g ‘Simon says shake your head.’
- Your child must do what you say but only when your instruction begins with the words “Simon says”
- If you just say “Shake your head”, they should not shake their head.
- Take turns.
