Class News – 12.09.25

Welcome back everyone!

It has been another wonderful week in school. The children have been working super hard this week and have thoroughly enjoyed their new learning.

In Maths, we have recapping Place Value. We have been representing and partitioning numbers to 100 and placing them correctly on a number line. We have been practising our 3 times tables through songs and games and this is the focus of our Maths homework this week.

In Writing, we have been exploring nouns. We have been identifying common nouns and proper nouns and we can now identify some collective nouns in our sentences.

Our new Topic for this half term in Ancient Egyptians. This week we have placed key historical events and dates on a timeline. We have enjoyed using our Now Press Play resources to be immersed in Ancient Egypt and we completed a pre-assessment of what we already know about this topic. The children are so excited to learn more!

In PE this term, we are doing some Gymnastics and Invasion Games. The children are super excited!

Reading books

The children will come home with their new reading log and reading book this week. Please listen to your child read when possible and sign their reading log.
