We have had a wonderful first week back in Year 1 and the children have settled into the daily routine well and worked incredibly hard!
In English, we have been exploring the story ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ in preparation to retell our own story. As part of English we have started our Reading Immersion lessons on a Thursday and Friday. This weeks text was about a trip to the seaside which links to our topic.
In Maths, we have been exploring half and a quarter.
Our Topic this term is ‘Victorian Seaside’. We will be exploring seaside holidays in the past and present.
