We have had a wonderful week in Year 1 and the children have worked incredibly hard!
In English, we have been exploring shape poems. The children planned their own poem. As part of English we have started our Reading Immersion lessons on a Thursday and Friday. This weeks text was about Dinosaurs in the classroom and the children were detectives, they read witness accounts to work out who had destroyed our classroom
In Maths, we have been recognising equal groups, adding equal groups and making arrays. We progressed onto doubling.
In Topic, we have been exploring which pioneering women have shaped healthcare and medical science.
