YEAR ONE CLASS NEWS – 01.05.26

We have had a wonderful week in Year 1 and the children have worked incredibly hard!

In English, we have finished our recount postcard writing and the children have worked so hard.

In Maths, we have been exploring mass and comparing mass. We have also been measuring and comparing capacity and volume.

In Topic, we have made a storyboard to show the life of Florence Nightingale.

In Science, the children were labelling a tree and then they created their own tree using leaves and blossom they had collected from outside.

In Design and Technology were exploring food and nutrition. As part of this we have looked at what makes a balanced diet and even tasted some lovely fruit and vegetables.
