Class news 27.1.23

This week 2HH began their swimming lessons. The children have worked hard every morning and really impressed all of their teachers. We’re sure they’ll need a well earned rest this weekend! Back at school 2SB have been busy with guided reading linked to our myth ‘Odysseus and the Cyclops’ and learning more about the Parthenon in DT ready to design and create our own next week. In maths, we’ve learnt more about shape and looked at formal written methods of multiplication. We found it tricky to begin with, but we persevered and by Friday we were using efficient methods to solve word problems. Well done. In english, we began to publish our diary entries after some super editing, involving peer and self assessments. It was lovely to see the children supporting each other to improve their work. We ended the week with our weekly sound check test, you can find our scores in our reading records, and a PE lesson focused on developing our team spirit in football.

Have a great weekend everyone. See you on Monday. Don’t forget, your homework is due on Tuesday 7th February. We can’t wait to see your creations.
