Class news 9.12.22

Our Year 4 children will be exhausted this weekend after the busy week we have had! We have been lucky to enough to watch boy the EYFS and KS1 Christmas production dress rehearsals – they were both wonderful! Linking to the excitement of the World Cup in Qatar, we wrote newspaper reports in English following our victorious win against Wales. We created a double page poster for our topic, after working together to research different types of extreme weather. After lots (and lots!) of practising we performed our ‘Carols Round the Tree’ for our families and teachers on Thursday. It was a fantastic turn out and the children did an amazing job, all of the teachers were so proud of them! We ended the week making some surprise treats to take home next week. Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday, ready to celebrate our Christmas party on the afternoon.

POW

In 2HH our POW this week is Cruz. He is a valuable member of 2HH and has been giving 100% in everything he does. Keep up the great work!

In 2SB Lilly H was awarded POW for her tremendous effort in ‘Carols Round the Tree’ and for her beautiful solo. Wonderful Lilly!

    Young Readers

On Wednesday we celebrated our first Young Readers event of the year. Children were presented with a book to take home. We enjoyed making bookmarks, drinking hot chocolate, eating biscuits and listening to the author read an excerpt from the book that we had been given. What a lovely treat!
