Week 5 – 3rd July

The children have wowed the adults in school this week and we are really proud of them. In our English lessons, we have been reading the text ‘A Knights Tale’. During the lessons, the children were transported back to Raby Castle during the 1600’s and used freeze frames to recreate scenes from the text. We have also been practicing our adjective skills, ready for poetry next week. In our Maths lessons, we have been learning about statistics. Over the week, the children have learnt how to record information in pictograms.

Our topic next half term is Kings, Queens and Castles. This topic explores the history of castles in our local area and how monarchs have changed over time. We had a fantastic visit to Raby Castle, where the children had a wonderful time exploring the castle and its grounds.
