We have had a brilliant week, this week! The children have all tried so very hard throughout the week with their special jobs. In our English lessons, we have been reading the text ‘The Whispering Cafe’. During the lessons, the children were transported to the cafe, and had to work out who would eat the disgusting foods. In our Maths lessons, we have been learning about statistics. Over the week, the children have learnt how to record information in tally charts, tables and block diagrams.
Our topic next half term is Kings, Queens and Castles. This topic explores the history of castles in our local area and how monarchs have changed over time. We had a fantastic visit to Raby Castle, where the children had a wonderful time exploring the castle and its grounds.

As the seasons change, we would like to showcase all of the wonderful things that you do at home in Summer. Please send in any photos of the fun activities, adventures, days out, or special moments so that the children can share them with the class. The children really enjoy talking about their experiences and seeing what their friends have been doing.
