Class news 21.4.23

Our first week back was certainly a busy one! We began our new topic ‘Rights & Respect’. This week we looked at children’s rights and why they are important. In english, we began to plan our description about a spooky woodland. We worked hard to use figurative language, particularly similes and personification. In maths we continued our work on fractions and some of us looked at length and how to measure. During our science lesson, we started our work on animals and humans, investigating food chains. We ended the week with some French, TTRS, spellings and art work!

A special mention to Zheer and Heidi who represented Newham Bridge at a table tennis tournament. Mrs Horvath and Mr Grierson were really impressed with their attitude and team spirit. Well done.

Have a lovely weekend and we’ll see you on Monday.
