Class news 3.2.23

Happy Friday! We have reached the end of our swimming fortnight and a special THANK YOU to Mrs Horvarth who has been swimming with both 2SB and 2HH. It has been wonderful to see our Y4 children develop their swimming skills and also have fun! Well done 🙂

Back in school we have continued our work on multiplication and division in Maths. We are working on using formal methods and solving word problems. In English we have finished publishing our Odysseus diary entries – perhaps we will have some in the Golden Book next week! We made some string telephones in Science and discussed what made them work using our knowledge of sound. We logged on to Duolingo to continue developing our French skills and enjoyed a house football tournament in PE. In Music we worked together to play a new piece of music on the chime bars, reading the notes and performing in a group. What a great way to end the week!

Don’t forget our homework for this term is due in on Tuesday 7th February.

Have a great weekend, see you on Monday 🙂

Swimming

Our swimming teachers at the Rainbow Centre, Becky and Destiny were so proud with the progress that all of our children in Y4 have made over the last 4 weeks. They encouraged all of the children to keep visiting swimming pools in order to maintain the skills they have gained over the last month. Let your child show you how confident they are in the water by visiting a leisure centre soon 🙂
