Class 20.1.23

Yet again another busy week in Year 4. All of the children in 2SB will definitely need an early night tonight after finishing their two week block of swimming! All of the teachers and swimming staff were so pleased with the effort the children put in. There were some tears across the two weeks but overall the children have shown great levels of determination and also gained a vital life skill. Well done 2SB 🙂

Back in school we have continued to draft our diary from when Odysseus and his crew are discovered by the Cyclops. In Maths we have been recapping our knowledge on shape, multiplication and division. 2HH and 2SB had a Battle of the Bands in TTRS and 2HH were the champions! Amazing effort! We recapped our knowledge on ‘Sound’ in Science and took part in a ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’ type quiz in our house teams which was fun and a great way to check if we had remembered what we had learnt about sound. We have continued to play Football in PE and enjoyed a very cold session outside with Mr Bowler and Mr Grierson on Friday. In Music we were able to start reading notation and playing along on our class set of chime bars.

A reminder that we have both TTRS and Spelling Shed (on the Ed Shed website) which the children should be accessing at home throughout the week. Regular practise will help our children improve their mathematical and spelling skills in a fun way. Please make sure your child is accessing these programs at home. Thank you.

See you next week for week 4 of our Spring term. Time is flying by! 2HH please remember to bring your swimming things.
