Welcome to your Homework Page

Today your child received 10 spellings to learn ready for Friday’s sentence dictation: available, accommodate, suggest, determined, competition, muscle, identity, existence, rhyme, prejudice. Everyone also has been given a copy of their EdShed logins to access the spelling assignments set for home learning. We recommend 5 minutes every night to support their recall and understanding of these words. Please set each other challenges to use the word within conversation 🙂

For maths this week, we would like your child to access TTRS and complete a Soundcheck to identify which multiplication and division facts they need to continue developing.

Every week for reading your child will have their own reading book chosen from the library to quiz on using Accelerated Reader, and they will receive 6 assignments on Reading Plus to complete (your child will have time in school to access Reading Plus too to ensure they can complete the assignments).

Finally, an exciting writing competition has been launched by Young Writers. Last year, three pupils were fortunate to have their written work chosen to be published in a book and we are hopeful we could achieve success again with your child. The image below will take you to watch the introduction video. The

This hyperlink will take you to the overview of the competition for further information: youngwriters.

This week your child will arrive home with an After School Club letter; Homework Club for Year 6 will run on a Tuesday 3.20-4pm. We look forward to welcoming your child to the club for time to access resources and seek advice and support with their homework 🙂
