Weekly News 9.6.23

Welcome back to the last summer term in Year 3. This last term is going to fun and exciting term, as we are starting a new topic ‘Battle Cry’. It has been a super first week back.

In English, we have been learning about persuasive posters and started to plan our own posters about ‘How great it is to be a Roman Soldier’, persuading our audience that joining a Roman Army would be a good idea.

In Maths, Year 3 have been continuing to learn about money, solving problems using addition and subtraction strategies.

In PE, we now have a coach in on a Tuesday, learning dancing skills, we have some great movers. On a Thursday, the children are building on their athletic skills ready for Sports Day. We have also started each day to get the children to move called ‘Active Blasts’ – 5 minute exercises to get their heart pumping for the day and be ready to work.

REMINDER – PE is now on a Tuesday and Thursday this term.

In Topic, the children have been ordering dates on a timeline, learning about the key events in the Roman Era.
