Welcome back Year 3 – Spring Term 2 3.3.23

Welcome back Year 3! We are into the next Spring Term and it has been a very busy first week! The children have been introduced to their new term topic ‘Britain is Great!’ We also had a fantastic World Book Day.

In English, we are beginning to create acrostic poems, linking with landmarks around the UK.

In Maths, we are learning about fractions and focused on unit and non-unit fractions.

In Science, the children have been understanding the importance of our skeleton by naming certain bones.

On Thursday this week, the children had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. Thank you to all the children and parents who took their time creating wonderful characters with their potatoes. They were all amazing! The Year 3s spent the morning, moving round the Year 3 and Year 4 classes, having the opportunity to listen to other teacher’s stories and take part in some activities. The children absolutely loved the morning!

Thank you to all the grown ups who came to our ‘come and read’ sessions. It was lovely to see so many of you!
