Weekly News – 21.4.23

Welcome back Year 3 – It’s the Summer Term!

It has been a lovely first week, seeing all the children ready for the Summer term. The children all came back with smiles and were happy to share their Easter Holiday news.

In English, the children started to understand the key features of a Non-chronological report about an Amazon animal. They have been researching their creature and making notes.

In Maths, the children are learning about mass- understanding equivalent masses, comparing masses, reading scales and solving problems.

In Science, the children have been sharing their knowledge about plants and thinking about what they would like to find out about plants.

In their PE lessons, the children have enjoyed learning new skills in cricket and gymnastics, building on they co-ordination and strength.

Date for your Diary – Year 3 Read Together

On Wednesday 26th at 2.30pm, Year 3 parents are invited to join their children in their classrooms for a Come and Read event. There will a story to read and activities to do with your child. Mrs Hilton, Mrs Savage and Mrs Matthewman will look forward to seeing you.

The Dining Hall doors will be open at 2.30pm. Thank you.

The Reading Award in 2ZH goes to Grace, for reading and quizzing everyday and achieving top scores. Keep it up!
