Weekly News 12.05.23

Its been a lovely week this week and the children have enjoyed the many activities. Mrs Savage’s class have welcomed and enjoyed the company of Mrs Henwood and been helping her settle into the Year 3 daily routines. Welcome to Year 3 Mrs Henwood!

In English, Year 3 have been researching information about deforestation and understanding the key writing features to write an inform letter. They are going to write a letter to Mrs Hewitt-Best informing her about the problems occurring in the rainforests and ways we as a school can help to save the forests.

In Maths, we have been learning a new unit on fractions adding and subtracting numerators and solving fraction problems.

In topic, the Year 3 have been thinking about deforestation, linking with our English and discussing the Fors and Againsts towards deforestation.

In Science, the children have been understanding the function of stems and investigated water transportation.
