Weekly News – 28.4.23

It has been a super week this week, the children have enjoyed many activities.

In English, the children have been completing their draft non- chronological report on Amazon Rainforest creatures, writing about Jaguars, Macaws, Anacondas and Pink Dolphins, developing super sentences.

In Maths, the children have continued to learn about mass and capacity, focusing on volume and capacity and comparing measurements.

In topic, we have been learning about the different layers of the rainforest, describing what it looks like and what creatures survive in every layer.

In PE, the children have enjoyed working with our Gymnastic coach and learning balancing skills.

Come and Read event!

It was so wonderful to see so many grown-ups turn up for our Come and Read event. The children… and adults, enjoyed reading the book ‘The Marzipan Pig’ which was kindly donated by Middlesbrough Reads.

We then had lots of fun completing a book review and making an origami pig too. Thank you for your continue support!

Dates for your diary:

2.5.23 – Animal Story visiting

The children have the opportunity to see and touch some exotic animals found in the Amazon rainforest. They will be able to get up close to snakes, spiders, cockroaches and many more creatures and ask questions.

4.4.23 – 2.45pm – Open Afternoon for Year 3 Parents

It will be wonderful to see parents come and visit and enjoy looking through their child’s books and share their child’s achievements. Mrs Hilton, Mrs Savage and Mrs Matthewman would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for their support.
