Weekly News 26.5.23

Wow! We have made it to the end of the first half of summer term. This term has been jammed packed with fun activities, the children have really enjoyed the ‘Amazing Amazon’ topic and have all produced some wonderful pieces of work.

In English this week, the children have completed their letters to inform Mrs Hewitt-Best about the dreadful problems happening in the rainforests and how we could help to save the animals. Well done to Harry, Jemima, Subhan, Caesar and Edith for being entered in the Golden Book for their excellent writing.

In Maths, the children have been learning about money, making different amounts and solving problems.

In Science, the children completed their topic on plants, learning about seed dispersal and explaining the different ways how seeds travel to begin a new life.

In topic and ICT, the children had an afternoon sharing their work with the rest of the Year 3s. We created a museum and the children had the opportunity to show off their Amazon shoeboxes and their digital animations on how a plant grows.

We would like to thank the parents who helped their children with their homework on the ‘Amazon shoeboxes’. A BIG THANKYOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Well done for Hazel on her excellent animation on a plant growing. Superb!
