Another excellent week!- 11.11.22

Class News

Well done for working your socks off again, Year 3! You continue to impress your teachers with your enthusiasm and determination.

In English this week, we have continued to write our adventure stories and have done an excellent job of re-reading and editing our work.

In Maths, we have been subtracting 2 and 3-digit numbers using column subtraction.

This week, it has also been our Newham Bridge Maths Week. We have enjoyed taking part in a variety of maths activities including learning a song to sing in front of everyone, enjoying a QR hunt and learning about a famous artist called Kandinsky and re-creating some of his amazing work.

Important Information

READING

We ask that children read 3x a week at home and have their reading logs signed by an adult. They need to bring their reading record to school everyday too. The children quiz themselves to allow them to build on their reading strategies and feel confident with their reading, moving up through different levels.

PE DAYS

PE lessons are on a MONDAY (Outdoors) and FRIDAY (Indoors). Children need to wear – a white t-shirt, back shorts/ black joggers/ trainers and their red school jumper/cardigan.

Homework will be handed out every Thursday and it needs to be handed back in every Tuesday.
