Weekly News 11.9.26

It has been a wonderful, busy full week and the children have really settled into the simple routines very well. We have been learning about some of the rules to follow in the classroom and the routines. We have been learning:

PSED (Personal, social and emotional development) – Learning about simple instructions, exploring the different areas

Oracy – Learned about how we should be sitting, listening and taking turns with our partners

Talk through stories – We enjoyed listening to the story ‘Elmer’, recognising the characters, what the problem was in the story and joined in with the story following phrases and showing expression.

We have also listened to stories about settling into school.

Science – We looked in mirrors and talked about facial features that looked the same and those that looked different.

PE – We have been learning about different ways to walk and different ways to jump, moving around in different directions and using the space.

The children have enjoyed exploring around the different areas and making new friends.
