We have finally made it to half term! It has been a lovely final week working with the nursery children and the children have had a super week learning about the importance of the Police force. They have created Wanted posters, drawing and looking out for the bad characters from popular stories like; Burglar Bill, The Troll, The Big Bad Wolf and even Goldilocks, who committed the crime of stealing porridge. They dressed up as Police officers and made walkie talkies. The children had the opportunity to meet our Community Police officers, who talked about their role and allowed the children to try on some equipment. On the investigation table, the children explored magnets and explored them around the room. For maths, the children enjoyed making repeated patterns and making their own.

Key Notices

When Nursery come back after half term , the first week we are celebrating the importance of reading stories and throughout school, each class are focussing on a certain author. EYFS are learning about Nadia Shireen and nursery are going to listen to the story ‘The Bumble Bear’. We would like the children to dress up like Bees or Bears for Friday 7th March

Super Stars at Tidying Up
It is important that the nursery children understand that they have to tidy up their areas in nursery. This week Ariella-Bleu and Marwa have done a super job tidying the writing area. Rayner has done a super job keeping the writing table tidy too this week.

Stars of the Week

Well Done Finley (morning) who has received the ‘Star of the Week’ certificate, for settling well in nursery and exploring the areas.
Well Done Zeena (afternoon) who has received the ‘Star of the Week’ certificate, for enjoying learning and playing in the different areas.
