Nursery – 23.10.26

What a spooky week in Nursery! We noticed that some families decorate their houses at this time of the year so we decided to make our own decorations. Look at what we have been up to this week. Aren’t we busy! We are also practising lots of skills and also starting to enjoy playing together. We have been practising saying, “Can I play with you please?”

In maths, we continue to look at patterns and hearing and saying number names. We sing 1,2,3,4,5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive. 1,2 Buckle my Shoe. 5 Currant Buns in a Bakers Shop. 5 Little Ducks. Do you sing these at home?

We continue to work on lots of fundamental skills; listening and following simple instructions, asking for help if they need it, taking turns and remembering to ‘Choose it, Use it, Put it Away!’ Aren’t we busy!

Bea brought in some juicy pears from her garden on Thursday. We had them for snack. They were delicious!

And look at us in action in PE this week, we were playing spooky games. Mrs Short was very impressed with how we followed instructions.

Phonics and Oracy

This week we have been saying the beginning sounds of the children’s names and recognising our names.

We also continue to practise the following Nursery Rhymes. We can tell you are practising them at home! Thank you

Our stories this week…

This week we have enjoyed the stories…

We enjoyed getting messy scooping out pumpkins and making pumpkin potions!

We enjoyed joining in with the sounds.

We enjoyed the repetition in this story and working out the skeleton animals!

Certificates

Our pupil of the week this week is Layla-Sue. Layla is a lovely friend to the other children and has been helping some of them feel happier when they miss their Mummies and Daddies. Thank you Layla!
