Nursery 11.9.26

A big welcome back to our Nursery children. Mrs Bell and I are super proud of how they have all come back after a long time off and settled in happily.

We have been getting back into our Nursery routine by using our visual timetable, using pictures to help us put things where they belong and lots of visual reminders of what we do in Nursery.

We have done our NELI language screening assessment, drawn a self portrait and tried to write our own names too! What a busy week! We have loved that the children are using our creative area lots this week, we hope you have liked the creations they brought home! They had some wonderful ideas of things to make!

We continue to support the Middlesbrough Toothbrushing Programme. This is the way we brush our teeth!

Aren’t we busy in Nursery! We are beginning to ask friends if they want to play, take turns and put away what we have played with.

Phonics and Oracy

We have been singing Nursery Rhymes in phonics. Please practise these at home…

Our story this week…

This week we have been talking about how we are all different and sometimes we like different things. We enjoyed sharing You Choose by Nick Sharratt and Pippa Goodhart and loved looking at the different hats, clothes, food, places and pets we would choose!

Certificates

Our pupil of the week this week is… Rosie! You have been so busy this week in Nursery. We are super proud of how you have remembered routines, followed instructions and had such a lovely week!

Birthdays

Happy Birthday to Teddy and Reece who both celebrate their 4th birthdays this week.

Notices

PE kits on Wednesday please.

Please make sure details on Arbor are up to date.

Community

Good luck if anyone is running the Great North Run on Sunday.

It’s also the Heritage Open Festival 11-20th September so places like Ormesby Hall are free Friday to Sunday this and next weekend.

If you are involved with events in the local community, feel free to share flyers/posters with us and we can put them on our community notice board in the corridor.
