Week 3 – 18th September

What a wonderful week we have had in Year Two! The children have continued to develop their knowledge of ‘The United Kingdom’, focusing on the different countries, seas and oceans as well as the capital cities of each country. As a class, we created a floor map of the United Kingdom and labelled it. In their English lessons, they have been learning all about verbs. Over the week we explored ‘to be’ verbs (is, as was, were, am) as well as action verbs. In Maths, the children have continued to consolidate their place value knowledge within 100, as well as counting in multiples of 2, 5 and 10.

Notices

As the seasons change, we would like to showcase all of the wonderful things that you do at home in Autumn. Please send in any photos of the fun activities, adventures, days out, or special moments so that the children can share them with the class. The children really enjoy talking about their experiences and seeing what their friends have been doing.

Pupil of the week

Pupil of the Week is Theo B for being a kind friend to all.

Well done Theo B!

Birthdays

We would also like to wish all the children in school, who are celebrating their birthday, a very Happy Birthday!
