Year 1 class news – 19.09.25

What another busy week we’ve had in Year 1 this week!

In English we have been writing CVC and CVCC words and then progressed onto writing simple dictated sentences.

In Maths we have been practising our number formation, recognising numbers as words and then progressed onto one more and one less.

In Topic we have been exploring the 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland). The children then had to complete a puzzle of the United Kingdom.

In PSHE the children discussed their family, who is special to them and how everyone’s family looks different and is special. The children then drew lovely pictures to show who lives in their house.
