We have had a super busy, but lovely week in school. Well done to our amazing Year 1’s!
In English, we have been learning about nouns and verbs. We have also been focussing on our handwriting to ensure our letters are formed neatly and correctly.
In Maths, we have been finding parts and writing number sentences to match. We have also been matching numerals to their word.
In Science, we learned how different animals have different body parts which help them adapt and survive.
In Topic, we explored the temperature of different countries. We used finger paints to show these temperatures on a world map.
Notices

As the seasons change, we would like to showcase all of the wonderful things that you do at home in Autumn. Please send in any photos of the fun activities, adventures, days out, or special moments so that the children can share them with the class. The children really enjoy talking about their experiences and seeing what their friends have been doing.
Reading

The children have been given a new phonics reading book or sheet to read at home. Phonics books will be changed each Friday and sharing books are changed Tuesday and Thursday. Books remain in school each Thursday evening, ready for the Phonics book change.
PE– Our PE days this term are Tuesday and Wednesday.
PE uniform –
White t-shirt, black shorts, plimsolls/trainers, plain joggers (no branding), school jumper for outdoors.
Please remove earrings for PE.
Homework

Please continue to work through the homework folder. There is only 1 more week to go! All of the information needed is attached to the folder. If you have any questions however, please just ask a member of staff.
Thank you for your continued support.
