KS1 Weekly News 15.11.24

We have had a wonderful and busy week in KS1 this week!

In Maths, 1TS have been exploring addition number sentences and learning about fact families. 1MG and 1AC have been adding numbers to a 2 digit number which crosses the tens boundary.

In English, 1TS have been identifying and naming common nouns. 1MG and 1AC have been exploring the features of a non chronological report then planning our own non chronological report. For our Reading Immersion we linked it to Children in Need and created our own fundraiser to raise money.

In History, 1TS have been exploring the vocabulary of the past and exploring chronology then making our own timeline of our lives. 1MG and 1AC have been learning about Mary Seacole and completed a timeline of her life. We also acted out Mary Seacole’s life using Now Press Play.

It was lovely to see so many parents/carers attending our Maths Day. It was so nice to see the children engaging with their adults and playing Maths games together.

Thank you for your kind money donations for Children in Need. We raised an amazing £397! Thank you for your continued support.
