Autumn 1- week 4.

What an amazing week we have had in Year 5! The children have tried very hard in all the lessons we have had this week. We are really impressed with how well they have settled into year 5 and how they are getting used to the fast pace! 🙂

This week in PVPG we have looked at regular and irregular verbs and have tried to understand how to identify which is which. We will continue PVPG next week by looking at phrasal verbs. In Maths this week, we have moved onto addition and subtraction. The children have worked really hard to work with larger numbers as well as remembering exchanges. Keep up the hard work!

In science this week the children looked at how long it takes all the planets to orbit the sun in Earth days. In PE, the children have been working on their invasion strategies including how to defend effectively and keep possession of the ball.

Miss Vanderson’s pupil of the week this week is Kate for being an excellent role model, kind friend and taking care of others. Mrs Hindmarsh and Mrs Barkers pupil of the week is Maggie for having high aspirations of herself, having a goal in mind and working really hard towards it. Well done to you both! We are super proud 🙂

Have an amazing weekend and we will see you next week! 🙂
