YEAR ONE CLASS NEWS – 14.11.25

What another busy week we’ve had in Year 1 this week! The children have worked incredibly hard.

In English we have been learning about common and proper nouns and then we progressed onto verbs.

In Maths we have been exploring subtraction and finding the part.

In Topic we have been learning about chronology and completed a timeline of Captain James Cook.

Notices

Homework – Homework will be handed out every Friday to be returned the following Wednesday.

Spellings – spellings will be handed out every Friday for the children to practise ready for our spelling quiz the following Friday.

Coats -The weather is changing and is unpredictable. Please can children bring a coat to school every day.

Water bottles – Plastic water bottles only.

PE – Our PE days this term are Monday and Wednesday. Our PE uniform is a white t-shirt, black shorts, plimsolls/trainers, plain joggers (no branding), school jumper for outdoors. Please remove earrings for PE.
