Inclusion and Belonging

Header Clouds

At our school, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We are a genuinely inclusive community where every child is known, valued and respected, and where a strong sense of belonging enables all pupils to thrive.

We are committed to ensuring that every pupil has access to a high-quality education, regardless of their starting point, background or individual needs. Our classrooms are welcoming, supportive environments in which diversity is recognised, celebrated and reflected in daily school life. Through high-quality teaching, carefully adapted learning and effective support, all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities and additional needs, are enabled to participate fully, achieve their potential and develop confidence as learners.

Our culture is built on kindness, respect and high expectations for everyone. We work closely with families and external partners to provide the right support at the right time, ensuring that barriers to learning are identified and addressed. Pupils feel safe, supported and empowered to be themselves, developing positive relationships, strong wellbeing and a genuine sense of belonging within our school community.

We believe that every child matters, every voice is heard and every pupil deserves the opportunity to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Relationships are a defining strength of the school and underpin our inclusive culture. Pupils are known as individuals, and this was demonstrated during our quality assurance visit where the team observed pupils arriving calmly and confidently, supported by visible, welcoming staff and thoughtful responses to any pupils requiring additional reassurance. We are proud that the Legacy Learning Trust School Improvement Team identified this as a significant strength of the school, reflecting our commitment to ensuring that every pupil feels valued, supported and ready to learn.
