Autumn 1, Week 1: 2.9.25

Year 4 have had an outstanding week back in school! It has been a pleasure to see our children come back ready to learn, looking super smart in their uniform and engaging in their learning straight away. They have adapted to their new year group without any issues, followed new routines and have been excellent roles models for our Year 3 pupils who are new to KS2.

This week we have taken our Star Reader tests and been given our reading book level ready for home reading. Unfortunately, due to a delay in deliveries, we will be using a paper reading record for the coming weeks so please continue to listen and sign this until they arrive. We appreciate your support!

Year 4 P.E. is on Fridays. Please ensure every Friday your child comes to school in the correct P.E. uniform:

  • Plain white T-Shirt
  • Plain black joggers / black leggings / long black shorts
  • Plain red jumper
  • Black trainers
  • No earrings (or to be removed for the lesson)

On Thursday we launched our new topic Ancient Egypt through an immersive Now Press Play experience whereby we were transported to Egypt and took part in some role play drama. Over the coming weeks there is a wealth of knowledge for us to explore and a multitude of learning opportunities which will help us ask answer the question: What were the greatest achievements of Ancient Egypt?
