We have had another excellent week! The children have been working really hard and we are extremely proud of them all.
In English this week, we continued exploring nouns and their purpose. We enjoyed playing games and writing sentences using different nouns. In Maths, we have been learning the place value of numbers to 1,000. In Topic, we continued to learn more about Ancient Egypt and wrote our names in Hieroglyphics. What a super week!
Notices and dates
On Thursday 25th September, the children who have returned their consent forms will be taking part in pedestrian training ran by Middlesbrough Council. Please ensure that on this date, the children come to school with a suitable coat as they will be outside for some of their training.
PE
Our PE days this half term are Monday and Thursday.
Please ensure your child comes to school on these days wearing their correct PE kit- white t-shirt, plain black shorts or joggers, a red jumper or hoodie and plain black plimsolls or trainers. Thank you for your continued support :-).
Reading books
Thank you for the excellent reading so far! Please continue to listen to your child read when possible and sign their reading log. When the children are confident with their reading book, they can quiz on the book in school and can then choose a new reading book to take home. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Homework and spellings
Please refer to our Year 3 homework page for our weekly homework tasks.
