We have had another fantastic week, this week. The children have tried so hard with all their work.
In English, we have consolidated our knowledge of action verbs. The children have become experts of how to change action verbs from the present tense, to the past tense. In our reading immersion lessons, we have been looking at an extract from ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl. The children loved taking on the roles of Mr and Mrs Twit, making wormy spaghetti for each other. In Maths, we have been working on counting in multiples of 2, 3, 5 and 10.
We have continued lots of exciting work around our topic of ‘Our Local Area’. We have been learning all about Middlesbrough and how where we live is different to other towns around the world. We mastered our map reading skills, finding and labelling local landmarks.
We are looking forward to another fantastic week, next week.
