Week 8 – 24th October

We have had another brilliant week, this week. The children have tried so hard with all their work.

In English, we have finished our Place Value of Punctuation and Grammar work, and the children are now experts with their grammar. In our reading immersion lessons, we have been looking at an extract from ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. The children loved inventing their own rooms, that could be found in the Factory. In Maths, we have been working on our addition and subtraction skills.

We have continued lots of exciting work around our topic of ‘Our Local Area’. We have been using maps and atlases to find out where we live in the world.

We would like to thank you for all your support this half term, and we hope you have a wonderful half term break.

Notices

Across this term, we are looking at the season of Autumn. In school, we are making a display about how we celebrate this season. If you go on any Autumn walks, pumpkin picking trips or anything linked to Autumn, we would love to see! Please send a photo to the school address and we will be able to share it with the class, and on our display. We look forward to sharing your wonderful experiences.
