Activities in school
There are lots of exciting things planned in school this week to help us to celebrate World Book Day. KS1 and LKS2 are inviting you into school for a ‘Come and read’ session. They will take place from Tuesday – Thursday from 8.40 – 9.10. Please see the timetable below for your child’s class. This is an opportunity to come into class and share a story with your child.
Tuesday: Y1 children
Wednesday: Y3 in LKS2 classrooms/Y4 in the hall
Thursday: Y2 children
Please come send your child into school as normal, they will hang their coats up and then meet you in the hall to share a story.
Our children in UKS2 will have the opportunity to visit EYFS to share stories with our youngest children.
On Wednesday, each phase will take part in a carousel of activities with teachers from their key stage. On Friday, the children will have the opportunity to listen to a story read by a teacher from another class.
Themed Day
To end our magical week, on Friday 8th March, we’re inviting the children and staff to dress up as a magical creature, witch, wizard or anything or anyone they see as magic! There is no cost for this event. If children don’t wish to take part, they can come to school in their uniform.
World Book Day Family Quiz
This year, we have created a quiz to answer together as a family. This quiz can be accessed via the link below. The quiz will be online until Tuesday 5th March. Winners will be announced on Friday 8th March on this page so keep your eyes peeled.
